Dead End
“Dead End” was my first movie that I was offered without auditioning, and that was extremely exciting for me. I’m a HUGE fan of this genre. I wouldn’t call it a horror movie; it’s more of a thriller, because there is more thought that goes into this than your typical teen horror.
The movie (formerly called “Deep Cove”) is the story of a close group of high school seniors who plan a vacation on a secluded island. I tag along with the seniors (my character, Megan, is a freshman) onto this island for the perfect weekend getaway. Once there, strange things start to happen and as the story unfolds it will become clear that these are acts of revenge. When Megan is introduced she is seemingly innocent, but is also a bit promiscuous. I’m not sure what I am allowed to say about who does and doesn’t die though.
We shot in Vancouver, which is one of my favorite places. It definitely lives up to the hype. It has beautiful scenery, great food, and nice people. I also shot “Bionic Woman” in Vancouver, so I was familiar with the area.
It was all around a wonderful experience. I’d never done a movie in this genre, so therefore I learned quite a bit. We had a blast, and I made some excellent friends. Haylie Duff and I had a little too much fun maybe. Some days we would laugh in the middle of filming a scene.
Keep checking back for more information and stories on this movie, including a release date, and my favorite scene (I don’t want to give away too much right now!)
