Lucy Hale: Chicken McBites Launch Party!

    http://cdn.buzznet.com/media/jjr/headlines/2012/01/lucy-hale-chicken-mcbites.jpg

Lucy Hale steps out in a cute crocheted top at the McDonald’s Chicken McBites launch party held at Siren Studios in Hollywood on Thursday night (January 26).

The 22-year-old actress joined her peers at the party which also featured a performance by Salt n Pepa, and music by DJ C-Squared.

When we recently chatted with Lucy, we had to know about any possible music plans. Check out what she told us:

“I would like to, but as I mentioned before, it’s all about timing. When I want to make my own music, I want to be completely involved. I want to make sure I know exactly what I want to do and I’m sorting that out and finding my sound. I love country music. I think I would want to make a country album, maybe,” Lucy shared.

Lucy Hale Picks The New Cinderella!

Lucy Hale Picks The New Cinderella!

Did everyone catch the television premiere of A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song on ABC Family over the weekend?

Filmed in North Carolina late last year, the flick stars Lucy Hale, Megan Park and dreamy Freddie Stroma as ‘Prince’ Luke Morgan.

JJJ recently caught up with Lucy during her Radio Disney Take Over and had a huge question for her — who would she pass the Cinderella crown onto, if they made another Cinderella-type movie?

“Oh my gosh, I don’t know! Oh, maybe one of the Shake It Up girls. They’re all so talented. I think Zendaya would be a good Cinderella,” she shared with us.

Lucy Hale: We're Gonna Blow Fans' Minds

    http://www.theinsider.com/media/photo/2012/01/106330/lucy_640.jpg

To say this season of Pretty Little Liars is killing it would be an understatement.

From the PLL's plotting to A's unraveling agenda, not a single moment has been wasted as every week brings us closer and closer to unveiling the blackmailer's identity.

Amid all the intrigue, Rosewood's hormones have continued to run rampant thanks to the return of Maya, Toby's truck lovin' and the never ending Ezria saga. Last week's major setback in Aria's lovelife was just one of the topics Lucy Hale touched upon when we chatted at ABC's TCA party.

Insider.com: You know that last week's episode sent Ezria fans into a deep, deep depression, right?
Lucy Hale: [laughs]. I know, I know. But wait until you see what we have coming up. Just wait.

Insider: Do you think Aria regrets telling her parents?
Lucy: No! It was about time! It took huge balls, excuse my language [laughs], on Ezra's part. He needed to man up. Obviously it completely backfired, but I'm glad it went there.

Insider: So you're still Team Ezra -- we don't have to worry about Holden, right?
Lucy: Well ... Holden is going to play a big part in Aria's storyline for the next couple of episodes – obviously Ezria is always up and down, which is what makes it so fantastic. Right now we're down, but there's lots of good stuff coming up. One of my favorite scenes that Ian [Harding] and I have ever shot is coming up.

Insider: What makes it one of your favorite scenes, ever?
Lucy: What I love about them so much is their chemistry. And I don't know how Ian and I have so much chemistry – the fans call it eye sex, and so it's just that. The scene is all about that eye connection.

Insider: Another big reveal is coming later this season when A's identity is revealed -- what did you think when Marlene told you that was going to happen?
Lucy: Finally! [laughs] With a million exclamation points! This is the moment that the series has been building to since day one and to give people that answer they've been waiting for will feel so good. As an actor, it'll be so interesting to see where the series goes from that point. We start filming season three in a few months, so I don't even know what to expect.

Insider: What would you tell fans to expect from that finale? A million cliffhangers?
Lucy: I mean … it's Pretty Little Liars. Of course there are! I'm so proud of this season -- every episode raises the bar. And the finale is unbelievable. It's literally going to blow your minds.

Pretty Little Liars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC Family.

The Pretty Little Liars stars spill about their on-screen styles and fashion faves. Plus, exclusive photos from their Bongo photoshoot!

    Lucy Hale
    Lucy Hale

How is your on-screen style different from your real-life look?
Aria is a risk-taker. She doesn't shy away from anything. I admire her for that. She is a good mix of contemporary and vintage. I would say I am a little more reserved, but since I've started the show I've seen myself dress more like Aria.

What's on your shopping wish-list right now?
Anything and everything from Free People—and Bongo, of course.

What are the five things that are always in your purse?
Cell phone charger, gum, deodorant, Rosebud lip balm, and my planner.

    What's your can't-live-without-it item?
A pair of Bongo flare jeans and flat black riding boots. They are timeless.

    What inspires your style?
My mood, people on the street, magazines, my friends... anything, really, and that's what makes fashion so fun. You can find inspiration everywhere.

‘Cinderella’ Lucy Hale had a ball in Wilmington

http://tv.blogs.starnewsonline.com/files/2012/01/0122lucyhale.jpgMany actors and actresses have told me how much they loved working in Wilmington over the years. It’s hard sometimes, though, to tell who generally warmed to our climate and people and who was just telling a hometown reporter what they thought he wanted to hear.

Lucy Hale was pretty easy to read.

I talked with the “Pretty Little Liars” actress – and star of the movie “A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song” airing at 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22 on ABC Family – at a Television Critics Association event earlier this month.

From the moment I mentioned Wilmington, where “Cinderella Story” filmed last spring, her eyes widened, she leaned forward to the edge of her chair, and her smile brightened.

“That’s one of my favorite places on Earth!” she said, making it clear the Port City made an impression.

“The architecture was beautiful. The beach – are you kidding me? The people – the hospitality was unbelievable.”

Hale spent only six weeks in town filming the movie, which was released on DVD in the fall and is the third installment of the “Cinderella Story” franchise.

Hale stars as Katie, a talented singer forced to lend her voice to her stepsister (Megan Park) who wants to win a recording contract. Unfortunately, it’s that voice that attracts Katie’s crush (Freddie Stroma) to her stepsister instead of her.

While in town filming, Hale said she spent part of her time staying at a beach house where she “roamed the beach with my dog.”

She gushed about local boutique Edge of Urge – especially the earrings there. “I’m obsessed – obsessed! I probably bought out the store.” And she sported feather earrings form the store on the cover of Seventeen magazine over the summer.

Hale raved about Kilwin’s ice cream – “Oh my God! I got the cake batter” – and called downtown Wilmington “so fun and lively.”

Hale also said Wilmington allowed her to bond with her co-stars in a unique way.

“When you are on location you sort of build those relationships. I’d filmed on location… but something about this was different. Being in a city where you don’t really know each other, I made relationships that will last for a very long time.

“I genuinely mean this. It was one of the best months of my life.”

Lucy Hale is Taking Over Radio Disney!

Lucy Hale is Taking Over Radio Disney!

Lucy Hale chills out at the Radio Disney Studios late last week in Burbank, Calif.

JJJ was on the scene and got to chat with the 22-year-old actress about the premiere of A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song.

Lucy shared with us, “I think everyone loves the story of Cinderella because it’s sort of the underdog achieve, in this case a girl, whatever they’re going after. In the movie, Katie wants to be a singer and then there’s the love story and there’s really not anything to dislike [about it].”

“He’s so lovely. He’s so charming, blond. He’s everything you think he will be,” Lucy gushed about costar Freddie Stroma. “He’s British and awesome. He’s incredibly smart. I think he majored in neuroscience…then he’s in Harry Potter. He’s just great.”

Pretty Little Liars’ Lucy Hale on A’s ‘Shocking’ Identity

    http://www.pbpulse.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cache/2b642_spot-lucy-hale.jpg

If you mix Desperate Housewives and Gossip Girl, you will probably end up with something very close to the delicious ABC Family drama Pretty Little Liars. Don’t let the name of the network the show airs on full you: every Monday night it offers another addicting dose of intrigue, eye candy, and season finale-worthy nail-biters.

PARADE recently chatted with the charming Lucy Hale, who plays artsy Aria Montgomery (the teenager who accidentally backed herself into a romance with hunky teacher Ezra Fitz!) about her craziest fan encounter and what’s in store this season.

Pretty Little Liars fans will get to see Hale, 22, in a new light thanks to her new film Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song and her new single “Run This Town.” (Watch the music video.)

“It was like letting out my inner rock star, it was so fun. I’ve been Aria 24/7 for two years so to get to go and be a different character in something lighter was so much fun,” said Hale after her segment on Radio Disney’s Take Over with Ernie D (airing Friday, January 20 at 6 p.m. ET). “I really hope people enjoy it.”

There are some great outfits on the show. Which character’s wardrobe would you most want to ransack?

“I think Aria’s. She has so much fun with it and she’s all over the place. She mixes vintage pieces with modern. She doesn’t have a distinct style and that’s why I think it’s fun. She’s really quirky.”

The characters’ seem to have gotten a wardrobe upgrade this season. Are you getting to wear more designer clothes?
“We are. As the show is gaining momentum and a following we get more stuff sent to us. But what is so special about our show and the fashion is that a girl can go out and buy that outfit. It’s really affordable. We get a lot of stuff from Forever 21, so it’s budget-friendly.”

Now that Ezra and Aria told her parents about their relationship, what other romantic roadblocks will they hit? Any other love interests?
“Can’t they just be happy? They will definitely go through some speed bumps and it’s quite the roller coaster, but at the end of the day what keeps them together is their love for each other. They really, really do care about each other. There is gonna be some things thrown at them that they don’t expect, but I hope they make it work.”

Would you want to pursue a music career?
“I would never give up acting, but one day I would love to pursue it, absolutely. It definitely has a big place in my heart.”

You started out doing music (Hale competed on the singing competition American Juniors). What would an album of yours sounds like?
“That’s why I’ve been sort of slow pursuing it, because I am trying to figure out what to be and what my sound is. I mentioned I love country music so maybe country. I don’t know what is in store but I’m excited about it.

We will find out who “A” is this season. What was your reaction when you learned who it was?
“First of all, they didn’t give us the script until we got there so it was a complete cold read. If you could have been a fly on the wall we were all shocked. It was amazing and I wish somebody could have captured that on tape because our reactions were pretty funny. All season it’s a hunt to find out who A is and by the end the girls go through a lot and the stakes are raised. They finally find A and at the end of the season you will too. I honestly don’t know what’s in store after that.”

Will all four girls live past the finale?

“Oh yeah, we’re around for awhile. There are some close calls though. Somebody is always about to die on the show.”

    What’s your TV obsession?
Toddlers & Tiaras, but I also love Shameless and Breaking Bad. But mainly Toddlers & Tiaras.

What other show would you love to be on?
True Blood. That looks like a fun show though I heard they shoot at night and it’s a hard shoot. But who doesn’t want to be a vampire? I do! I want to be a supernatural creature.”

    Craziest fan encounter?

“We film at Warner Bros. and they take these tour buses around. One time there was a tour bus filmed with these little girls and they all started crying. It was so sweet and I had never had that reaction before. It was just very flattering.”

'Pretty Little Liars' Stars Lucy Hale, Keegan Allen Theorize About Next Season's Twists

We know there's always something dramatic happening with our "Pretty Little Liars"—it's part of the reason why we love them so. Obviously, all of our attention is focused on the show's biggest mystery, namely the unveiling of A's identity, which if we find out the answer at the end of this season (which we're supposed to) leaves a lot of room for new dramatic plot twists and turns next season.

MTV News was lucky enough to catch up with stars Lucy Hale and Keegan Allen at the People's Choice Awards last night (Lucy brought Keegan as her date! How cute is that?!?), where we tried to gain some insight from the two as to what might unfold next and what kind of mystery will replace the identity of A.

    Get More: Music News

"I can tell you that the girls go through insane trials and tribulations," Keegan teased. "The most interesting thing to me is Aria and Ezra's relationship. Obviously [Lucy] will tell you more about it when she gets here. Toby and Spencer go through this insane whirlwind of emotions. A is doing some stuff. I don't want to say anything, but it's going to be pretty out of control."

So what might replace the A identity drama next season?

"Obviously there is going to be something that keeps it going," Keegan said. "There are so many secrets that revolve around that story line, so there is always somewhere to go, always things to find out and secrets to unveil."

"I'm sure they'll come up with something," Lucy added. "I'm sure there will be some kind of twist. I'm really curious myself because I honestly have no idea where they're going with it. We'll see."

Will we still be seeing rockiness in Aria and Ezra's romance?

"Oh, yes, Ezra and Aria, they released the information to her parents. They're obviously not very happy. It's sort of like they've taken a few steps backwards, so they're starting from square one almost," she explained. "They're a strong couple though, so I'm rooting for them."

Lucy Hale Rocks Fashion Forward Frock at 2012 People’s Choice Awards

http://cdn03.cdnwp.celebuzz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/11/Lucy-Hale-at-2012-Peoples-Choice-Awards-3-600x450.jpgHello, Lucy Hale! The Pretty Little Liars star may have gone with basic black, but her dress was anything but an old standard.

Sporting a shoulder cut-out that scooped down into a low-cut front, the intricate Cengiz Abazoglu design also rocked a new “side train” trend — short in the front with a long train down one side.

The starlet sparkled in sequins and choose black accessories to complete her ensemble — including black nails. The look is definitely a bit of a departure for her usual red carpet style, which tends to be a little more on the colorful side.

Lucy Hale on Singing in New 'Cinderella' Movie: Music Was "My First Love"

    Lucy Hale

Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale has a new movie coming out this month on ABC Family, and the popular actress even sings in it! Lucy spoke to OK! last month about singing and the new season of Liars.

Her new film, A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song, airs Jan. 22, and OK! questioned whether singing is something she is going to pursue now. "I mean, it’s always a possibility," Lucy said. "It’s all about timing. It was my first love and I love music, so we’ll see."

Her love interest in the film, Freddie Stroma, had told OK! previously about the film: "The flavor of this one is music. Music’s in the title! But it’s got some teen love and it’s fun to do. We got to do a lot of improv. More than I’ve ever done before. It’s not loads, but you know [the] directors let us do some stuff."

    He also added, "Lucy's great!"

Lucy also revealed to OK! why this season of Pretty Little Liars is so great. "The writers really never cease to amaze me, they just set the bar again. I always take it as a good sign when I’m still excited to read the scripts. If I’m still, you know, wondering what’s going to happen, we’ve done 47 episodes and still so excited about it."

Lucy knows how wonderful the PLL fans are. "It’s amazing. They’re so loyal. I’m really excited that the show is going to start answering a lot of the questions people are wondering about."

'Pretty Little Liars' Winter Premiere: Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell & Troian Bellisario

When "Pretty Little Liars" returns to ABC Family on Mon., Jan. 2, don't expect Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily to be the tight-knit best friends that viewers have come to love. The mysterious psycho-texter "A" has put the foursome through some tough times since the series premiered in summer 2010, but has she finally driven the girls apart?

It looks like one of the liars is going rogue.

"In the first half of Season 2, Emily was definitely getting attacked more than any of the other girls," Shay Mitchell told HuffPost TV at the December ABC Family holiday event. "In this second half, she’s finally taking a stand. She's more confident."

Emily won't be the only one trying to take down "A." The girls may have separate plans, but they are all finally taking action. The "Pretty Little Liars" take matters into their own hands, and try to take down their nasty tormentor for good. And it all leads up to the Season 2 finale, on Mon., Mar. 19, when the identity of the elusive "A" will finally be revealed.

So what else can we expect from the girls this season? HuffPost TV caught up with the series' stars, Lucy Hale (who plays Aria), Ashley Benson (who plays Hanna), Shay Mitchell (who plays Emily) and Troian Bellisario (who plays Spencer), to give us the scoop on the upcoming season, including Aria and Ezra's "big reveal," Hanna and Caleb's relationship and Emily's deal with "A."

The girls try to set "A" up.
"We start off in community service," Ashley Benson revealed. "We make a trap for 'A,' and try to find out who it is. You'll see if it works or not."

Caleb's back (sort of) and things get scary between Lucas and Hanna.
"[Hanna] has a lot to deal with Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) and Lucas (Brendan Robinson)," said Benson. "Caleb and Hanna are so great together, but now that he has his parents back, he's kind of going back and forth a lot to California, and it puts a hole in their relationship. I hope they're together forever, but it's not going to be easy. I think they'll survive, though. And then Lucas and Hanna's storyline this season gets very interesting. It's definitely going to scare the fans."

    Toby wants Spencer back.
"Spencer is head over heels in love [with Toby], and that's a huge problem because 'A' knows it," Troian Bellisario explained. "'A' is constantly trying to divide and conquer, trying to cut the girls down to their knees, and Toby (Keegan Allen) is Spencer's Achilles heel. 'A' knows to go right for it, and Spencer realizes that if she doesn't get away from Toby, he's going to be in danger. So even though it breaks her heart, she has to push him as far away as possible. It's really awful because he's going to try and win her back, and she has to keep denying her feelings for him."

    Emily has had enough.
"Emily is definitely taking a stand this season," Shay Mitchell revealed. "She's not going to take any more of what 'A' is throwing at her. She was the primary victim of everything that 'A' did the first half of Season 2, and this time around, she's like, 'I'm not the weakest link, and I'm going to show you.' So she's coming back full-force, and it's so much fun to play her like that -- even with the other girls! If they say anything, she's just going to throw it back at them. She's not having it anymore."

Aria and Ezra finally go public.
"Ezra (Ian Harding) and Aria take a huge step in their relationship," Lucy Hale said. "They actually tell her parents about their relationship. It's a big step for the two of them. But it's not going to be perfect. Their relationship has always been a bit of a roller coaster, and it's going to continue to be like that for a while."

    Spencer and Jason get closer.
"Spencer and Jason (Drew Van Acker) will get very close this season," Bellisario revealed. "It's very interesting because the two characters both have serious trust issues, and they are forced to trust each other, so it's a great realization for both of them."

Can Emily rekindle her romance with an old flame?
"Maya (Bianca Lawson) comes back to town, so we get to see how that pans out for Emily," said Mitchell. "It will be interesting because Maya has had her own experiences while she was away, and Emily has grown a lot, too. So now we have to wait and see if they're going to click like they did before. Paige [Lindsey Shaw] is also still in the picture, so we'll see."

Catch the Season 2 winter premiere of "Pretty Little Liars" on Mon., January 2 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC Family.

5 Biggest Secrets From The ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Winter Premiere

    http://www-hollywoodlife-com.vimg.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/123011_pll_winter_premiere111230132348.jpg

‘Pretty Little Liars’ returns Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. on ABC Family, and we got all the scoop straight from the liars’ mouths!

Hold onto your “A,” kids! The winter premiere of Pretty Little Liars is just three days away, but because I know how much you all hate waiting, I put together a list of the five biggest things you’ll have to look forward to on Jan. 2.

    1. Ezria’s big reveal: When Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding) finally come clean about their extracurricular affair on the winter premiere, they learn they’re going to have to roll with the punches — literally. “Their relationship has always been sort of a roller coaster,” Lucy admitted to us Nov. 11 at Cosmopolitan‘s “Kisses For The Troops” event in NYC. “It’s going to continue to be like that for a while.”

    2. “Spoby” drama: Fans of Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Toby’s (Keegan Allen) relationship will have plenty to look forward to on the winter premiere — but that might not necessarily be a good thing. ”‘A”s’ main goal with Spencer is to destroy her love,” Troian told us Dec. 4 at ABC Family’s Winter Wonderland event in NYC. “It’s a really awful situation.”

    3. Emily fights back: “A” once called Emily (Shay Mitchel) the “weakest link” of the group, but after the winter premiere, that nickname will need a serious update. “She is a lot stronger,” Shay told us Dec. 4 at ABC Family’s Winter Wonderland event in NYC. ”When we saw her in the first half of season two, Emily was definitely getting attacked more than any of the other girls. In this second half, she’s taking a stand. She gains a lot of confidence.”

    4. Hanna’s new (old) enemy: The girls have collected quite a few nemeses thus far, but Hanna (Ashley Benson) is about to be revisited by a particularly bitchy one. When I talked to her Dec. 4 at ABC Family’s Winter Wonderland event in NYC, Ashley told me the character in question — who will be revealed on the winter premiere — is going to cause “plenty of trouble” for Hanna this season.

    5. “A” gets “creepier” than ever: With “A’s” big reveal just months away, you can expect the second half of season two to be the show’s most intense part yet — and the fun begins on the winter premiere. “‘A’ is sort of creepier than before, if that’s possible,” Lucy told me Dec. 4 at ABC Family’s Winter Wonerland event in NYC. Seriously, prepare to have your “A” creeped off.

It's almost time to kick some 'A.' The mysterious texter has been giving our "Pretty Little Liars" -- Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily -- a pretty rough time since the series premiered in 2009. But when Season 2 returns in January, it looks like the girls are finally going to take action. The "Pretty Little Liars" take matters into their own hands and try to take down their nasty tormentor once and for all.

Even though we'll have to wait until January to find out what awful tricks 'A' has up her sleeve for our fab four, HuffPost TV is giving all of you "Pretty Little Liars" fans a belated holiday present help with any 'A' withdrawals and a little New Year's resolution inspiration.

The cast of "Pretty Little Liars" -- Lucy Hale, Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell -- took a step away from Rosewood's never-ending drama for a few minutes to talk about their New Year's resolutions for 2012, from eating healthy to learning something new.

Lucy Hale: Study Time with Shane Coffey

Lucy Hale: Study Time with Shane Coffey

Lucy Hale gets in some study time with Shane Coffey in this new still from Pretty Little Liars.

In the upcoming episode “Blond Leading the Blind,” The best way to get to someone is through the people they love, and “A” knows this better than anyone.

Toby (Keegan Allen) continues to pursue Spencer (Troian Bellisario), knowing that she is keeping something from him. With another “accident” possibly popping up at any minute, Spencer is desperate to keep Toby safe and can think of only one way to truly end it.

Also worried about her relationship, Hanna (Ashley Benson) begs the other girls to stop using Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) to help with their search. The more involved Caleb gets, the bigger target he becomes. But is the valuable information Caleb is finding more important to the others than Caleb’s safety?

“Blond Leading the Blind” premieres Monday, January 23rd @8PM ET/PT on ABC Family.
